Project Brief

Create an independent digital screen-based project that demonstrates your mastery of technical skills and aesthetic understanding developed throughout the course. This individual project is your opportunity to showcase personal creative vision while applying learned techniques. Project Requirements: • Develop a unique concept that explores aesthetic conventions in digital media • Independently manipulate digital imagery and sound to create compelling moving image sequences • Apply technical skills learned throughout Digital Studio 1 • Demonstrate creative problem-solving and artistic decision-making • Create a polished, resolved digital project (3-4 minutes) Your submission must include: • Final digital screen-based project • Artist statement explaining your concept, process, and aesthetic choices • Technical documentation of tools and techniques used • Critical reflection on how your work relates to contemporary digital media practices Assessment criteria: • Technical proficiency and skill application (40%) • Creative vision and conceptual development (30%) • Aesthetic choices and visual/audio integration (20%) • Critical reflection and artistic awareness (10%) This project represents the culmination of your learning in Digital Studio 1 and should reflect your growth as a digital media artist.
